Cassidy began ballet at age 4, she attained distinction in all children’s grade and vocational RAD examinations inlcuding Advanced 2. During her time as a pre-professional ballet student she was a quarter-finalist in the Alana Haines Competition in New Zealand, a semi-finalist in the McDonalds Scholarship and a finalist in the RAD Isobel Anderson Awards. She attended the Royal Ballet School Summer program in 2013 and was the recipient of the Achievement Award for her level and was invited back for the 2014 program. While overseas she attended classes with the Royal Danish Ballet Company and returned to Sydney to graduate from the Studio Tibor fulltime program. As a student Cassidy was fortunate to have been taught by many highly acclaimed dancers and dance teachers worldwide from whom she has accumulated a vast knowledge of both classical technique and performance quality.
