Ellena Nou

Ellena Nou, 26 years of age, began her training at The Royal Ballet School, White Lodge and later graduated from English National Ballet School with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance.

Throughout her training Ellena performed in productions with The Royal Ballet: La Sylphide (Bournonville), The Nutcracker (Wright), Swan Lake (Petipa/Ivanov), English National Ballet: Nutcracker (Eagling), The Sleeping Beauty (Petipa), Romeo and Juliet (Deane), English National Ballet 2: My First Cinderella (Williamson) and Northern Ballet: Christmas Carol (Moricone), Cleopatra (Nixon), Three Little Pigs (Sibson and Bateman). 

Ellena joined Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Romania in 2015 and reached the position rank Demi-Soloist in 2017. Here Ellena toured nationally and internationally around Europe with classical, neo-classical and contemporary roles in pieces such as: The Nutcracker (Pertutiu), Anna Karenina (Tugearu), Anotimpurile (Gardner), Swan Lake (Petipa/Ivanov), Paquita (Mazilier), Giselle (Coralli/Perrot), Don Quixote (Petipa), Trilogy Ionesca (Fotescu), Nu Mai Sunt Eu (Drogomir), Harvest (Connor), Swaraj (Legge), Darkness Becomes Light (Drogomir), The Fairy Doll (Sergey/Nicolai Legat).

Ellena now resides in Sydney, Australia. Whilst sharing her knowledge and passion of ballet and contemporary dance styles at major schools in the New South Wales region, Ellena also dances for Opera Australia: Lakmé (Livermore), Anna Bolena (Livermore), Faust (Gounod) and Sydney’s renegade dance company Twisted Element Co.: Ritual (Hamilton).

A former Demi-Soloist with Teatrul de Balet Sibiu Romania and former artist with English National Ballet, Ellena has returned to settle in Australia. Ellena performed in productions with the Royal Ballet and Northern Ballet, most recently working with Opera Australia.
