A soloist dancer with the Slovak National Ballet, Chelsea Andrejic began her professional training at the Conlan College and Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching. In Chelsea’s second year of training, Chelsea was awarded the Silver Medal at the GenéeInternational Ballet Competition and proceeded to complete her training at the English National Ballet School on scholarship where she graduated with a Diploma of Dance in 2010. That same year saw Chelsea join the Slovak National Ballet Corps de Ballet where she was promoted to demi soloist in one short year and soloist in 2015.
During Chelsea’s career she has performed numerous soloist roles in a wide variety of classical and contemporary pieces and has also had the opportunity to perform roles created specifically for her. Some highlights of Chelsea’s professional career have been working personally with Nacho Duato on Duende, having the opportunity to dance the solo couple in Uwe Scholz’s Second Symphony and creating the role of Lady Darkness in Natalia Horecna’s Slovak Dances.
Chelsea has also performed the title role of Titania in Youri Vamos’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, Gamzatti and Solo Shades in La Bayadere, Big Swans and Pas de trois in Swan Lake, Solo Gypsy in Vasily Medvedev’s La Esmeralda, Odalisques in Le Corsaire, Lilac Fairy in Malakhov’s Sleeping Beauty and the role of Lady Capulet in Natalia Horecna’s Romeo and Juliet.
